SHANE HASTIE

Director of Agile Learning Programs at ICAgile

Director of Agile Learning Programs at ICAgile. Chair of Agile Alliance New Zealand, Lead Editor for Culture & Methods & Podcast Host on http://InfoQ.com

In May 2017 I joined ICAgile as the Director of Agile Learning Programs, tasked with ensuring the learning objectives remain valid and useful, supporting the various communities that make up the ICAgile ecosystem and seeking ways to advance the state of agile learning. Over the last 30+ years I have been a practitioner and leader of developers, testers, trainers, project managers and business analysts; helping teams to deliver results that align with overall business objectives. I spent 15 years as a professional trainer and consultant specialising in Agile practices, business analysis, project management, requirements, testing and methodologies for SoftEd in Australia, New Zealand and around the world. I have assisted a number of companies in producing methodologies and implementing processes to improve their end to end software development capabilities, from initial scoping and business case through to final user acceptance testing. This included defining workflows, training and mentoring technical teams across end to end software development. I am a strong advocate of Agile methods - They Work!
